Basically, think of a Scandinavian Father John Misty or Josh T. Pearson – Finland’s own Mikko Joensuu has spent time in the forested depths of his home country to produce three albums-worth of captivating, melancholic and emotionally complex music. ‘Amen 1’ is the opener to the trilogy, and parts two and three will surface in late 2016 / early 2017.
‘Amen 1’ is the most delicate and fragile sounding of the three. It’s genuinely poignant and beautiful. First track from the album the beautiful folk tinged ‘Sometimes You Have To Go Far’ is a stunning piece of work and well worth checking out below.
