THE STUNNING Announce New Album ‘TWICE AROUND THE WORLD’ - Out March 16TH

Re-recorded, refreshed, and rocking – ‘TWICE AROUND THE WORLD’ is a brand new recording featuring the best of their long unavailable, number one, hit album ‘Once Around the World’.

With extra tracks, including the single ‘Always You’ and the recent radio hit ‘Brighten up my Life’ which has clocked up over 1,800 plays on Irish radio since it’s release last May – this record captures The Stunning at their very best. It takes these songs from 1992 and brings them right into the present day, sounding just the way the band always envisaged they should: capturing the spirit and energy of the band’s live performances.

Recorded live over two session in Grouse Lodge Studios with co-producer Kieran Lynch (U2, Sing Street, Clannad) at the helm, the album also involved the mixing skills of Chris O’Brien who co-produced the band’s 1990 debut “ Paradise in the Picturehouse” and Ger McDonnell (The Cure; Manic Street Preachers; U2; Kasabian).

‘Once Around the World’ was the follow-up to The Stunning’s multi-platinum debut ‘Paradise in the Picturehouse’. It contained four hit singles – ‘Heads are Gonna Roll’, ‘Everything that Rises’, ‘She’s on my Mind’ and Mr Ginger’ and went straight to number one upon its release in 1992. Now after much demand from their fans, The Stunning are releasing a brand new version. Finally, these great songs are available again, sounding better than ever.

The cover art by French illustrator Paul Grelet is getting quite a reaction – comparisons have been made with the faces carved into Mount Rushmore, but the band members have denied any presidential ambitions.
