STAYCATIONS find the sweet spot with dreamy new single 'Ophelia'

Cambridge 5-Piece Staycations unveil their latest soulful, infectious single ‘Ophelia’, a bar raising effort replete with the classic dreamy-indie touches they’ve established on recent singles ‘Hey Guys‘ and ‘The Enemy‘.

Formed of brothers Lewis Marriott-Hall and Charles Hall alongside Will Hasleham, Ben Udin and Craig Sadler, the band’s sound is a concoction of influences, ranging from the post-indie of Gengahr and Jaws to the genre-experimentalism of Flying Lotus and classics such as The Smiths or The Cure.

Fusing intricate rhythms and riffs with a brooding sonic landscape, their early releases found enthusiastic support at BBC Introducing, paving the way to airtime on BBC Radio 1.

The band have built up a loyal following of young indie dreamers by continuously gigging throughout the UK, jumping in a van, playing shows, in a van, playing shows, van, shows… Including notable and diverse support slots with Ezra Furman, Lonely the Brave, Frankie & The Heartstrings and High Tyde.
