ALLIGATOR release their first single ‘Shadow By Your Side’ today before they play their first UK festival gig on home turf at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival tomorrow. This follows a run of European festivals at the start of the summer.
James McDonald, the lead singer of the band said: “I wrote ‘Shadow By Your Side’ because life is all about family and your mates and everything else is just shite.”

ALLIGATOR are influenced by Iggy Pop, Clash, Lou Reed and The Beatles amongst others, and the band first got together in January this year after playing in bands together for years. They have already had their track ‘Trickle Down’ featured on the opening theme to the UEFA Champions League semi-final and will announce a UK and European October tour shortly to coincide with their debut EP release.
