BIGG To Release Debut EP - 'Lock Up Your Daughters' in April

BIGG formed from the ashes of Beat Magnets, a successful UK indie band that completed two UK tours, played two festivals, headlined local shows and supported the Wombats. Reading based brothers Tom & James met Pearce & Smithy in 2012 and following the departure of Beat Magnets’ lead singer they seized on the opportunity to develop their sound further to take their music in new directions.

Creating Alternative Indie Rock, the band boasts alternating lead singers, allowing for range of different styles and influences to come through during their energetic live sets. Those influences range from UK Grime and Pop Punk to Frank Zappa and Electro, a diversity that encourages the four-piece to explore a range of genres, building on the big rock sound that unites them as a band.

BIGG’s debut EP ‘Lock Up Your Daughters’ takes Alternative Indie/Rock and adds heavy distorted tones to take the genre somewhere new, whilst placing strong songwriting front and centre of all they do. The band write as a collective and take equal responsibilty for crafting the lyrics and creating the overall feel of each track. The process is heavily rooted in performance which is evident when they’re on stage through their showmanship and the resulting atmosphere. Hugely popular on the live circuit the band aim to follow up this success with the release of their EP on April 15th 2016.
