ALBUM REVIEW: Excision - 'Apex'

It’s been in the works for a considerable amount of time but the new Excision album has at last arrived. Coming in at 14 tracks is the “Apex” LP, which happens to be the fourth studio album from the dubstep creator.

This time around he hits a more varied style, incorporating emotional power ballads alongside riff-heavy guitar anthems and his usual, typically heavyweight bass blasters. We can’t get enough of “Gold” ft. Illenium, and tunes like “Home” with Dion Timmer really itch that dubstep scratch. Regularly touring alongside his production commitments and running a label, Excision is more impressive than ever with this release.
